DPRK survey shows improvements in harvest, persistent food insecurity

A recent food assessment survey in the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme, (WFP) has found that nearly three million people continue to face food insecurity in the country.

However, the survey also noted that there were improvements in the harvests of staple foods -- a two-year trend.

UN Radio’s Patrick Maigua asked Marcus Pryor of WFP about the survey and its implications.
