Fifty students, faculty advisors and government representatives from 28 countries this week got a taste of what happens at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

They took part in the Global Model UN Conference, organized by the Outreach Division of the UN’s Department of Public Information.

Monica Akech, who is studying Public Relations and Media Management at Cavendish University in Kampala, Uganda, was among the student leaders who will organize simulations of UN meetings when she returns home.

She told UN Radio’s Joshua Mmali that the experience has opened up infinite possibilities for her.
