Over two thousand participants from more than 100 countries have gathered in Stockholm, Sweden for World Water Week.

The theme of this year’s meeting is Water and Food Security.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) 2.6 billion farmers, fishermen and women are the main providers of food in the developing world.

The director of World Water Week, Jens Berggren, told UN Radio’s Gail Walker that World Water Week can help them conserve water and mitigate the effects of climate change on their crops
