A groundbreaking meeting underway in London on Wednesday aims to support women's and girls’ right to choose whether, when and how many children they will have.

The London Summit falls on World Population Day, observed annually on 11 July.

It reports more than 200 million women worldwide want to avoid or delay pregnancy, but lack access to effective family planning.

Dianne Penn spoke to Dr. Yves Bergevin, UNFPA Senior Maternal Health Adviser, about how access to reproductive health helps to create a just and equitable world.
