Bangladesh promotes alternative energy with help from the ILO

Rural areas in Bangladesh are “going green” with help from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the government of Australia.

The government is encouraging villages to use low-cost solar power as an alternative energy source. And people are also being trained in how to install the panels, thus creating jobs that support the green economy.
