United Nations agencies have been given the green light to begin delivering humanitarian assistance in Syria.
The UN humanitarian affairs office (OCHA) has announced that the Syrian authorities have agreed to allow aid workers unimpeded access to four provinces.
John Ging, OCHA’s Director of Operations, said the agreement is a sign of progress in the international community’s efforts to assist people affected by more than a year of violent conflict.
