Tens of thousands of Syrian refugees continue to cross into neighbouring countries to escape violence in their country.

The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) says it is providing aid to nearly 70,000 Syrian refugees in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.

The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is also helping these refugees, many of whom are very young.

Correspondent Simon Ingram reports on a UNICEF programme aiding Syrian refugees in Lebanon where an estimated 24,000 have fled.
