The people of Libya are eager to move forward with the transition to democracy, said the top United Nations envoy for the North African country.

Ian Martin, the head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) briefed the Security Council by teleconference on Wednesday more than a week after Libyans marked the first anniversary of the beginning of their revolution.
