People living in a town in Jonglei state in South Sudan are facing what’s been described as a grim humanitarian situation, following an attack by a group of armed youth.

Around 6000 fighters from the Lou Nuer ethnic group attacked Pibor town which is largely inhabited by the Murle tribe.

It’s thought the Louer Nuer were attempting to steal cattle.
